Kevin Ashton

A passionate advocate for inclusive education and community engagement, Kevin Ashton has served for 9 years as a member of the Corning Painted Post Board of Education with the primary goal of supporting our educators in their pivotal role of shaping young minds.

As a parent of two middle school children, including one with Down syndrome, Kevin brings firsthand understanding of diverse educational needs to the table. Committed to fostering an environment where every child has equal opportunities to thrive, Kevin encourages policies and budgets that prioritize inclusivity, accessibility, equity and individualized supports for students of all abilities. He firmly believes in the transformative power of education to empower and uplift every individual and works together with the CPP community in creating a more inclusive future for all students within the district.

Additionally, Kevin has actively supported the implementation of robust social-emotional support systems across the district; understanding the crucial role that emotional well-being plays in academic success. By crafting district goals, he has helped support our schools in their work to provide nurturing and supportive environments and become places where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
