Introduction:

To construct and upgrade facilities that encourage collaborative and engaging environments, sustain the integrity of our buildings, and support a diversity of learning approaches, the

Corning-Painted Post Area School District will bring an $82.7M Capital Project to vote on December 19, 2023.

Capital projects are a prudent long-term investment in preserving our facilities, and there is an established plan in place to pay for the work in the most fiscally responsible manner. Phased completion of the projects is anticipated to occur through 2029 to maximize state aid. As a result, project improvements will bolster the educational, health, and safety needs of our students and staff with NO ADDITIONAL TAX IMPACT for the residents in our community.

Summary:

Construction of alterations, additions, and improvements to District facilities and sites, including roof replacements; interior reconstruction to classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, gymnasiums, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, MS auditorium, and MS pool; exterior masonry, structural, window, roofing, and other building envelope improvements. The construction of ADA improvements, technology, emergency generators, and safety and security infrastructure improvements; asphalt replacement, pavement of gravel parking lot, concrete sidewalks, and fencing.

The CPP school district will propose to purchase the 2634 Goff Road property adjacent to the bus garage and construct a covered loading dock and new pole barn storage building on the site. Other site work includes the replacement of a retaining wall at Carder; replacement of the tennis courts, running track, and softball field at the Middle School along with miscellaneous upgrades to existing athletic fields.
